Lumen
Cities that glow without a grid.
Energy
The premise
Cities burn power all night to light spaces that need presence, not brightness — parks, pathways, waterfronts, facades. Lumen lights them with something alive.
We engineer bioluminescent cultures into sealed, self-sustaining modules that drop into railings, bollards, and paving. They feed on sunlight and air by day and give back a soft, even glow by night — no wires, no bulbs, no off switch.
How it works
Grow
Cartridges of engineered photosynthetic microbes are cultured and sealed into weatherproof light modules.
Photosynthesise
By day they store energy from sunlight; by night that energy is released as steady, ambient light.
Tend
Modules self-regulate for months; a nutrient top-up is the only maintenance the city ever performs.

Lumen is an exploratory Invisally concept.
