Field trial

Cinder

We see the fire in its first minute.

Climate resilience

Cinder

The premise

A wildfire is almost always winnable in its first hour and almost never winnable after its first day. The hard part has always been knowing — Cinder is the part that knows.

We blanket fire-prone terrain with solar-powered sensors and pair them with satellite and camera vision. The moment a fire starts, Cinder detects the ignition, pinpoints it within metres, and hands crews a dispatch before the first plume is even visible.

How it works

01

Sense

Low-cost solar sensors watch for the gases and heat of ignition across ridgelines and canyons, day and night.

02

Confirm

AI cross-checks ground signals against satellite and camera feeds to rule out false alarms in seconds.

03

Dispatch

A precise location and spread forecast is pushed straight to responders — hours of uncertainty become one decisive minute.

Signals

<60 s from ignition to alert
±15 m ignition location accuracy
1st minute — when a fire is still winnable

Be first when Cinder opens its doors.
